At the V*T

UPDATE II: She's home.  A bit sleepy, a bit groggy, but she is home and kinda dozing in my lap.

Thank you for all the purrrrrrsss and kind thoughts.

UPDATE: I just checked with the V*T (there are advantages to living next door to the clinic :-) ).  Gracie seemed OK.  I talked to her and rubbed her head a bit, but I'm not sure she noticed.  She was still petty stoned.  Plans are to pick her up around 4PM.

Grace O'Malley is at the V*Ts.  No news at yet, which usually means good news.  Updates as they reach me.

I suspect I had the Glop a little too warm or something, or maybe the kitten just wasn't hungry.  He is eating better.  At the 5AM feeding, he almost turned the bottle inside out.

I'm going to have to move the kitten to one of the PTU's.  When I got up this morning to take Grace to the V*T, the little kitten was crying really loud.  I was talking to him, telling him i would feed him in a minute, when I realized WHY he was so loud.  He had climbed out of his box, and was about five feet away from it in the middle of the floor.  I had already put a screen on top of the box, to stop an earlier attempt, so the next step is a cage of some sort.

I've been thinking about names for the kitten.  Part of the problem is I'm not sure he is a HE at all, which complicates name selections.

I thought about just calling him My Neighbor's Cat, but I suspected I'd get tired of explaining the name every time.

Poor little scamp is probably lonely and was trying to find some friends...

You are doing a great job!!! My cat when he was a wee kitten, used to (after the second night) climb up into my bed and lay down next to my head. Nowadays he sleeps at my feet, but comes up to sleep the last two hours before the it is time to get up, on my arm. He uses my arm as a "hot water bottle" - or so it seems to me. So why not call he/she vecino, Spanish for neighbour? Typical names for cats in Sweden are Nisse (M), Misse (M), Misan (F), Mons (M), Cilla (F) etc..

we got lucky with Bug's name since mom spent a lot of time being confused on whether she was a she or a he. :) as for a PTU, that is what mom used - folded the heating pad in half and put it in the back with a towel over it so she could move to the front if she wanted....but was transportable (since she went to work with mom), safe from us (hey!!!), and couldn't make a run (or wobble) for it. :) purrs for Grace

NC could be a good name! :). And we're glad that everything seems to be turning out fine.

Glad to hear that the kitten is eating better. He sounds like he will be a handful when he gets a little bigger. We hope Grace is not too sore and gets back to her old self fast.

We are glad all went well today! Maybe a name that would fit either sex is in order. There's lot of kitty names on line if you google it. It might give you some ideas.

well if you are right next door to the v place, I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping you out in the gender confusion department..

or post a tail shot,we'll help you out :)

So adorable that s/he is so feisty and a little escape artist..

And very glad that things went well for Grace!! I'm sure she'll be completely recovered in no time.
