We've got eyes

Of course, the eyes are attached to the same squirmy kitten that we've always had, so photos showing the new eyes are a bit hard to collect.

I was starting to wonder, just a little.  Most places said the kitten's eyes would open sometime in the first week or so, and we are starting the third week with this little gray mouser.

In other news, Grace O'Malley seems to have forgotten all about her V*T trip, and is running around like nothing happened.

Awww..poor lil grey niblet! He must just be a slow one for development. Does the vet think this little love is ok?

every kit has their own timeline. a fellow foster mom here has kittens that were born just a week ago and they are already starting to wobble around. :)

yeah, eyes are going to do what eyes are going to do. I had one open the eye on day three.. freaked me right out.

and I do have to giggle a little at your squirmy issues.. cause i've so been there!!

Yea for Grace, so glad she recovered well.

http://www.katter.nu/mate/kattunge.htm on this Swedish website they say that a kittens eyes are usually open towards the end of second week. That could mean that he/she was just born when you got him/her. Maybe the mother cat was moving her kittens, dropped, by accident, this little one and was frightened by something and temporarily ran off?

What gorgeous new life!
Thank you, friends, for coming by to offer your lovely words of condolence for the loss of our beloved Scooby. We remember when you started blogging and the cat blogosphere has grown so much in those years! It is a truly amazing place, we hold each other up in good times and in difficult ones all because of the connection we have with our kitties. Thank you!
